Inspiration
Jo draws inspiration from designers such as Arabella Lennox-Boyd, Bunny Guinness and Kate Coulson, whose work balances strong underlying structure with richly textured planting.
Creativity has always been central to Jo’s life. She originally trained with Vidal Sassoon before studying art and design, developing a strong understanding of proportion, composition and form.
An early fascination with historic houses and their landscapes sparked a lasting interest in how planting shapes atmosphere through scent, colour, texture and seasonal change.
This early curiosity developed into extensive plant knowledge and an understanding of how planting performs within different conditions.
Jo is known for her ability to interpret the character of larger architectural gardens and adapt these qualities for residential spaces, creating gardens that feel generous, layered and established.
Planting combinations are selected for longevity and seasonal progression, ensuring interest throughout the year.
